x:akta Administrator's Course

This one-day course is designed to provide system and database administrators with the knowledge and experience they need to manage users, data and system integrity.

The course covers how to set up the database server, install the client software for x:akta, edit configuration files, and import data.

• Understand x:akta's system architecture
• Understand the database model and structure
• Manage user privileges and object statuses
• Learn to install the client software

Prerequisites

• Previous participation in x:akta Overview and Advanced courses
• Professional knowledge of the database engine used by the Corporation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows® and, where applicable, Unix® servers
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications network layout and terminology

Note: The server-related portion of the training will require access to a Microsoft Windows® or Unix®-based database server.
